It was a bit windy the other day, so I went to the beach to take some pictures. As usual there were lots of gulls hanging around the fishing boats. This one was wearing an expression of mild concern, either about the weather or me creeping up on it.
It was a bit windy the other day, so I went to the beach to take some pictures. As usual there were lots of gulls hanging around the fishing boats. This one was wearing an expression of mild concern, either about the weather or me creeping up on it.
Typical winter scene at Hastings, only this was June.
These are Herring Gulls, there are many of them in Hastings, they are very bold, almost unafraid of humans.
Beware if you visit, and buy food to eat outside, they will steal it from you, even off of your plate !
Despite the apparent large numbers, the species is said to be in decline, so far I am not convinced .
